L'avis de Welcome
eCommerce software simplifies complex processes and helps companies effectively manage their inventory, calculate taxes and perform other business-related functions. While companies like Shopify have addressed the needs of smaller retailers, commercetools has built its business around catering to enterprises' specific needs and large investment budgets. The company provides APIs that can be used to build customised payment, check-out, social commerce, marketplace and other services. It powers billions of sales annually for its customers, which have included Audi, AT&T, Danone, Tiffany & Co., and John Lewis. In 2021, commercetools acquired the frontend platform, Frontastic, to build a broader portfolio of commerce technology services. In 2023, commercetools scaled the availability of its tools in mainland China, marking the first cloud-native commerce solution to ever expand into the country, a significant expansion, seeing as the nation is the largest single eCommerce market worldwide. Though it now faces more competition in the form of Shopify and other growing competitors - as well as the threats of international tariffs, commercetools continues to innovate in the headless commerce space.
Vos missions au quotidien
- Commerce isn’t just one single puzzle, it’s a vibrant mix of interconnected experiences. It’s about how people discover products, how catalogs are organized and enriched, how pricing and promotions adapt, how orders seamlessly flow, and how buying sneakers online feels completely different from sourcing industrial parts
- We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Commerce to help guide how we position and share our story across this landscape, highlighting how our platform and next-gen AI capabilities power the future of digital shopping. You’ll start with an initial focus on key domains like Search, Product Catalog Management, and Pricing & Promotions
- You’ll build deep, meaningful insight into each commerce capability, speaking comfortably across the global business. You’ll translate that deep technical knowledge into clear, empathetic messaging that resonates with B2C and B2B audiences alike, across diverse industries ranging from fashion retail to industrial manufacturing
- Strategic Influence: While this role doesn’t have direct reports, you will be a key leader on our team setting the vision for how we talk about your focus areas, telling our AI and innovation story, and partnering closely with peers across Product, Sales, Customer Marketing, and Analyst Relations
- Supportive Team Environment: Reporting to our Sr. Director of Customer & Product Marketing, you’ll join a collaborative team of Product Marketing Managers who each champion their own areas of the portfolio while regularly sharing ideas and supporting one another
- Own Domain Strategy: Lead positioning and GTM for core commerce domains (Search, Catalog Management, Pricing & Promotions) from early product development to post-launch adoption
- Translate Tech into Value: Bridge technical capabilities and business outcomes, tailoring stories that resonate with both B2C and B2B buyers across diverse industries
- Enable Sales & Drive Messaging: Create high-impact assets (pitch decks, talk tracks, enablement) that empower Sales to articulate domain value
- Build Customer & Market Content: Produce compelling case studies, webinars, and analyst materials, using market intelligence and competitive trends to refine messaging
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate directly with Product Leadership, Engineering, Sales, and Analyst Relations to ensure stories are grounded in real product capability
- Track Results: Define GTM success metrics and report on adoption, pipeline influence, and overall narrative impac
Benefits
- 100% covered premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for you, dependents, and spouse/partner
- Generous time off package including PTO, parental leave, company holidays, sick time, and volunteer time off
- Monthly health membership and phone stipend
- Compensation benefits including 401K company match and an annual professional development stipend
- Flexible, family-friendly working hours - we are a remote first company
Ce que l’on cherche
- Technical Translator: Proven track record of turning complex product details into clear value propositions for both technical and business audiences
- 4+ years of PMM experience in B2B/SaaS (ideally in commerce or complex multi-buyer tech)
- AI & Workflow Aptitude: Proactive mindset using AI tools to optimize your workflow and stay ahead of emerging tech
- End-to-End Ownership: Experience leading positioning, cross-functional GTM strategies, and managing senior stakeholders
- Sharp Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Adaptable & Curious: Comfortable navigating B2C/B2B commerce contexts and fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Prior experience with composable, modular, or platform-style products
- Experience briefing major industry analysts (Gartner, IDC, Forrester)
- Familiarity with commerce ecosystems (Search, PIM, Order Management, etc.)
