Work closely with all teams — Business, Tech, PMs — as the go-to data partner across the company
Turn data into decisions as AssoConnect scales from French leader to European platform.
You understand how nonprofits and stakeholders think. You proactively surface what matters and help the entire company move faster by putting the right insight in the right hands.
You will own the company's ability to turn information into action across three fronts:
Empower the business with trusted, self-serve data and operational intelligence that accelerates execution and removes decision bottlenecks (#1 priority)
Elevate the product by embedding analytics into the client experience, transforming data into measurable customer value
Build and scale the data stack — a reliable, evolutive, high-performance stack that makes it all possible
3 to 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst — intermediate+ profile
Background in a product-led startup or scale-up is valued (SaaS experience is a plus)
Used to work as a solo data analyst — parachuting into different teams, finding your footing, and adding value wherever it's needed
Engineering degree or equivalent; Business school background considered if you tick enough boxes
Business Intelligence: You think in KPIs, not just queries. You understand how a metric change impacts the P&L — not just the dashboard.
Analytical Autonomy: You don't wait for a clean brief. You reframe vague business questions, challenge assumptions, and deliver a recommendation — not just a result.
Pragmatism: You ship fast and iterate. You propose MVPs when a stakeholder asks for the "perfect dashboard" that would take 2 weeks. You manage technical debt consciously.
Prioritization & Communication: You match the depth of your work to the value of the question. You can say no, propose an alternative, and translate complex analyses into clear, non-technical recommendations.
AI Fluency: You use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) actively in your workflow — writing SQL, accelerating data modeling. You have concrete habits and a clear POV on where AI helps and where it doesn't.
Customer Obsession: You're curious about why users behave the way they do — not just what the numbers show
Ownership: You take end-to-end responsibility, from question to recommendation to follow-up
Simplicity: At every layer — SQL, analysis, output — you reduce complexity to one clear insight
Collaboration: You thrive working cross-functionally with Business, Tech, and PMs
Mission Alignment: You're motivated by AssoConnect's social impact and understand that your work helps nonprofits
Advanced SQL — window functions, complex joins, query optimization. Must be fluent, not just functional (MUST)
BI Tool — Metabase (preferred) or Looker / Tableau / Power BI. Mastery of at least one (MUST)
BigQuery — practical, hands-on experience (MUST)
Business KPIs — can talk about MRR, churn, activation, LTV, conversion funnel deeply. Not just build the chart, but diagnose what's actually moving and why (MUST)
Data Modeling — understands how to structure a clean, maintainable data model (MUST)
dbt — experience, or a very strong willingness to learn (MUST)
ETL / Reverse ETL — familiarity with pipeline concepts (Popsink or equivalent) (SHOULD)
Python — nice to have for automation and more advanced analyses (COULD)

1) Screening
Spend 1h with the HR and our Head of Product to check the fit between what you are looking for and what we are offering.
2) Technical Skills
Complete a 2-hour use case at home, followed by an interview with your manager to debrief on the use case and deep dive into your experience and skills.
3) Talk about Business
Validate technical expertise and business thinking. Ensure cultural fit, a strategic mindset, and alignment with our mission.
4) Meet the team
Meet your peers within the P&E team and join us for a lunch or a drink at our Paris or Marseille Office.
5) Final HR steps
Ref check and final discussion about salary, start date, and logistics.
