Tech and innovation is at the core of what we do at Lox. If we want to succeed in our mission, we have no choice but to be able to handle lots of data coming from different sources. Additionally, by using smart algorithms the tech team will create transparency out of all the data to add real value to our clients. Lastly, our ambition is global. The infastructure needs to be scalable to roll-out internationally across all continents. All in all, at the tech team, we are at the center of where the impact is being made. We are using the latest technologies available and work in a very flexible environment. These two points allow every tech teammember to perform at their best while learning from others.
Technologies and tools
Python is currently the language that allows us to make breakthrough innovations in our algorithms; its vast libraries and flexibility allow us to build our own tool without reinventing the wheel.
Organization and methodologies
We are currently working with agile projects and scrum sprints - between 1 and 2 weeks depending on the releases. We use Asana to plan, organize and manage all projects. Notion also serves as a way for us to document 100% of the knowledge we've gained that can't be documented between lines of code or in a readme file.
We have a straightforward recruitment process: an introduction call: 30 min video-call with Melvil, the CTO, to see if your personal and professional goals are matching LOX's. A technical case: exercise to evaluate your hard skills and understand how you see the world and approach challenges. Final video call: 1-hour call with the two other co-founders, Dylan and Anna to validate your culture fit. Because culture eats strategy for breakfast. :) On average our process lasts 10 working days and offers usually follow within 48 hours. We are currently shifting a part of our technical test to peer programming to also understand your methods in live.
