The sales engineering team is recognized as the technical partners for the Account Executive on the most complex aspects of the sale. They ensure we get the technical win during PoCs and act as trusted advisors by our prospects and customers. This is a crucial team in the success of our business expansion!

Joining the European team, you will be working with another Sales Engineer and 2 Solutions Engineers (technical experts in deploying the solution), all based in France. You will work closely with the European sales team (8 Account Executives), nurturing and supporting an extended sales cycle, explaining and demonstrating our platform to numerous stakeholders within the largest companies (our main focus are Enterprise accounts), working hand in hand to facilitate complex relationships.

The main responsibilities will be:

  • Working closely with Account Executives in pre-sales period, helping to close Enterprise deals by acting as GitGuardian’s technical voice & product expert.

  • Demonstrating GitGuardian’s value proposition to our prospects and customers: security, infrastructure and development teams, from the engineers to the C-Level.

  • Providing support for PoCs, performing technical product demos and soothing concerns.

  • Architecting and building out custom workflows for our prospective customers to show them the value of our product and how it will fit into their environment.

  • Post-sales, answering level 1 support needs of your existing Enterprise customers.

  • Partnering with the Marketing and Product teams to create all the technical collaterals needed for a better understanding of our solutions and of the market’s needs.

  • Being the customers’ voice towards internal product and engineering teams.

Requisitos

Here’s what we consider essential for success in this role:

  • Perfect fluency in English, to get into sales calls with European and US prospects

  • A great understanding of the modern software development lifecycle (SDLC): you understand what is a CI/CD pipeline, how it is built in an Enterprise company.

  • Great communication skills: you must be customer focused, as well as able to discuss with internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Solutions Engineers, …)

  • Significant experience having managed Enterprise accounts as a technical Sales Engineer (6 month sales cycles, many stakeholders, …)

  • Well developed project management skills (pre-sales & post-sales periods often involve speaking with multiple stakeholders who work on various teams, either internally or externally).

  • Ability to work fully remote, to work with a distributed US Sales team.

The following skills would strengthen your application but aren’t required:

  • Fluency in French would be a great skill to work with our french customers!

  • Ability to script in Python, to answer quickly some customers’ demands.

  • An experience in DevSecOps / AppSec industry would make you onboarded faster


Proceso de selección

1. First interview with your future manager (60min)

Purpose : To know more about you, understand your achievements, how your skills align with the job, and project yourself into the role. But also answer your questions about the position, the day-to-day, team organization and expectations.

Skills assessed : understanding of modern SDLC and sales engineering typical responsibilities

3. Business case (60min)

Purpose : To prepare at home and to present to Stanislas (Director of Solutions and Sales Engineering) and a member of the sales team: to evaluate your skills for the position and answer your questions.

Skills assessed : communication & presentation skills, analytical and synthetical skills, technical architecture.

4.1 Final interview with the CEO (co-founder)

To detail our company’s vision and ambitions for the next couple of years.

4.2 References check
