Job description

Role Purpose:

We are searching for a talented Demand Planner to ensure our company’s supply chain operations in the EMEA region are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. You will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models.

To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies.

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Generate Demand forecast based on historical data, statistical models, market trends, special offers and tenders.
  • Maintain Demand forecast on the horizon of 12-24 months including Sales, consignment and sample stripes as required.
  • Reconcile Demand Forecast with Sales and Financial forecasts aOKnd New Product Introduction plans.
  • Prepare and lead regional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to review assumptions and proposed changes in Demand forecast and to sign off with regional stakeholders.
  • Participate in a global Demand consensus meeting to update on changes in Demand forecast, NPI and Phase-out plans
  • Participates in New Product Launch projects
  • Prepare the Excess & Obsolete inventory monthly reserve.
  • Prepare & participate quarterly to the budget cycles (Inventory, E&O).
  • Maintains relation with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Business Operations to understand the demand forecasting drivers
  • Contribute to new product launch planning, ensuring supply to support the launch on time at budget

Preferred experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a demand planning/forecasting role preferably in a regional matrix organization
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Fluent in English – written & oral.
  • Proven expertise in MS Excel and APS environment (JDA, APO,…)
  • Experience working in ERP (JDE preferably)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Result oriented. Accurate.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis utilizing MS Excel and possibly QlikView.
  • Capability to work independently and in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Adaptability — Ability to react to change in an efficient manner
  • Prioritization — Ability to establish a hierarchy of importance to a number of tasks or needs and to organize work accordingly
