As our Head of Legal, you will join our Operations team and take the responsibility of our Legal department. Working closely with Simon, our legal and business affairs specialist, you will cover all the legal affairs for the company.

Here’s a snapshot of your future responsibilities:

IP

• You will manage our brand portfolio and ensure they are well covered and protected
• You will handle copywriting and image rights topics for all our content (videos, podcasts, editorial content, IT developments, etc.)
• You will supervise and negotiate contracts with production companies
• You will own the relationship with collective organizations

Business Affairs & Product

• You will support our business team to provide them with legal templates and documentation (T&C, NDA, etc.); you will provide assistance for contract litigations and negotiations with our clients in the countries where WTTJ operates its activities
• You will create and update the legal framework regarding our products (terms of service, terms of use, privacy policy, etc.)
• You will support the team to bring a legal framework on our partnership strategy
• You will review contracts with our service providers and optimize our contract documentation flow

Corporate

• You will oversee our “BSPCE” plans
• You will assist us on punctual and strategic projects (fundraising, acquisitions, international topics

GDPR

• You will lead our GDPR compliance programme
• You will manage our GDPR compliance and support our product teams to build GDPR compliant tools

Legal Department Management

• You will directly manage Simon, our legal & business affairs specialist
• You will own the legal budget and manage the relationship with our lawyers
• You will work on process and tools to increase legal awareness and efficiency in the company

Our Head of Legal would be someone with:

• 7-10 years of experience with a preference for in-house positions in a fast-growing environment
• Strong knowledge on IP/IT and corporate
• Strong understanding on content creation and tech environments; previous experience in a media company or a software company is a plus
• Ability to provide pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice under tight timeframes
• Capacity to build strong cross-functional relationships with other teams; you act as a business partner for them
• Strong communication and influential skills
• Ability to adapt and contextualize a complex legal framework to our operational needs
