As our Scientist (reporting to the Head of Translational Science), you’ll lead experiments on peptide/small-molecule–target interactions that power and validate our AI, working hand-in-hand with Protein & Vector Engineering team and external partners to advance gene and cell therapy delivery.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact
Design and run experiments to quantify ligand–receptor and protein–protein interactions across peptides, nanobodies, and small molecules.
Determine binding kinetics/affinities using SPR, BLI, and complementary biophysical methods.
Oversee peptide (and conjugate) synthesis, purification, and analytical QC to ensure assay-ready quality.
Advance promising candidates into in vivo evaluation, coordinating CROs on study design and data readouts.
Integrate modeling/in silico insights with experimental plans in partnership with computational & structural biology.
Coordinate and quality-control outsourced work with external partners to deliver on time and to spec.
Align experimental priorities with broader company goals by working closely with internal stakeholders.
Analyze and interpret data with Protein & Vector Engineering to generate actionable insights for scientific and strategic decisions.
Prepare clear reports, decks, and manuscripts for internal/external audiences.
Uphold data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness across the research lifecycle.
Scan emerging trends in biophysics, peptide therapeutics, and molecular engineering and introduce methods that raise speed, quality, or throughput.
Standardize best practices, templates, and SOPs to continuously improve experimental workflows.
We’re Eager to Meet You If…
You hold a PhD or Engineering degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemical Biology, Molecular Pharmacology, or a related field, with 3–5+ years in therapeutic discovery or translational research.
You have proven expertise in biophysical interaction analysis (e.g., SPR, BLI, or related kinetic techniques).
You bring hands-on experience in peptide and protein modalities: peptide synthesis/modification, nanobody/protein engineering, and/or small-molecule binding evaluation.
You have assessed efficacy and pharmacology for peptides and small molecules via in vitro and in vivo studies, and can interpret the resulting data with rigor.
You’ve run high-throughput screening using display technologies (phage display, mRNA display, or similar platforms).
You manage external collaborations effectively (CROs, academic/industry partners) to deliver non-clinical studies on time and to spec.
You communicate clearly and credibly, with strong written/oral skills, a solid publication record, and the ability to present complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
You’re a creative problem-solver, comfortable tackling complex scientific challenges and adapting quickly to shifting research priorities.
You will first have a video interview with the Head of People and Culture, followed by a second video interview with the Head of Early Pre-Clinical Research and last one with our CSO. Subsequently, you will be invited for an on-site, face-to-face interview to meet the rest of the team and complete a PI test and reference check.
