About the Role

This role will be a part of the French Grocery & Retail Sales team (Acquisition) and is a great opportunity to demonstrate your sales skills and abilities in order to expand the number of merchants that work with Uber Eats.

Who are we looking for? Someone who is natural at selling, passionate about food and/or retail, and enjoys negotiating to build the best partnerships!

The primary focus will be bringing on new small-and-medium sized merchants (Liquor Stores, Butchers, Green Grocers, Flowers stores, Convenience stores etc.) that fit our partnership criteria, and you’ll use your skills in emailing, cold-calling, and driving internal processes to set up our partnerships for success

What You Will Do

  • Demonstrate prospecting skills to build partnerships with merchants
  • Close deals with prospect merchants by being responsible for the entire end-to-end sales process
  • Lead contract negotiations aimed at establishing the foundation of a strong working relationship with our merchants, including sustainable economics for both parties,
  • Prioritize selling activities and follow through in a timely fashion
  • Clearly communicate the value of Uber and its newest products to prospects,
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly targets,
  • Partner with our Operations and Account Managers to smoothly activate the best merchants
  • Help us identify and build standard methodologies,
  • Act as an ambassador of Uber Eats’ mission, brand, and product
  • Proactively maintain communication channels with prospects via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
What You Will Need
  • Experience in an inside, outbound and/or field sales position, account management, or similar client facing function ideally for a high growth fast-paced company (Technology, FMCG, or Hospitality industry),
  • Experience in sourcing, negotiating and driving contracts to closure,
  • Excellent communication in French and in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven record in SMB Outbound sales,
  • Proficiency in Salesforce ,
  • Prior experience in Foodtech/Fintech is a plus
