About the Role

Uber Eats is looking for an ambitious and driven Sales Representative to join our French Sales team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in accelerating our expansion efforts across the country by collaborating with individual stores under major retail chains and expanding our Grocery & Retail offering. This is a unique opportunity to combine partner relationship management with business and operational strategy, as we break new ground and explore innovative approaches to growing our presence in the retail sector.

You will work closely with some of the largest chains available on the app, adopting a bottom-up approach to scale our partnerships store-by-store. The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with a “start-up” spirit where everyone is focused on solving complex challenges and driving growth. As a key contributor, you will be empowered to independently manage and develop relationships with strategic partners, helping them increase their sales sustainably while ensuring that Uber Eats delivers an exceptional experience to our users and partner couriers.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Store Expansion: Engage in a bottom-up sales strategy, targeting individual stores within major retail chains (e.g., supermarkets, convenience stores, specialty food shops).
  • End-to-End Sales Execution: Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and outreach to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Collaborate on Contract Implementation: Work closely with Key Account Managers (KAM) and Account Managers (AM) to ensure that the terms and conditions of master agreements are applied consistently across all stores, aligning with our strategic goals and partner expectations.
  • Tailored Merchant Onboarding: Lead contract negotiations with store managers and decision-makers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and a strong foundation for long-term collaboration.
  • Market Analysis & Merchant Selection: Use your understanding of the local retail landscape to prioritize target stores that align with our partnership criteria.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas by effectively managing your pipeline of potential partners.
  • Effective Communication: Articulate the value of Uber Eats’ services and new products to prospective merchants, both in-person and via digital channels (email, phone).
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Operations and Account Managers to streamline the activation process and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new stores.
  • Market Feedback & Strategy: Contribute insights on market trends and merchant needs to help refine our go-to-market strategy and build best practices.
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent Uber Eats’ mission, brand, and product with enthusiasm, acting as a trusted partner to our merchants.
What You Will Need
  • Proven Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in inside and/or field sales, account management, or similar client-facing roles, ideally in a FMCG or high-growth company.
  • Retail Expertise: Experience working with large retail chains or familiarity with multi-store sales strategies is a strong plus.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to drive contract negotiations and close deals effectively.
  • Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Salesforce and experience managing a sales pipeline effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter attitude with a passion for sales and a strong drive to exceed targets.
  • Territorial Knowledge: Experience managing a sales territory and building relationships across multiple regions is preferred.
