Trainline Business (TLB) is Trainline’s exciting proposition for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) ranging from 10 to 500 employees and beyond. In essence, TLB takes all the best features from Trainline’s consumer proposition (such as our seamless booking tool, access to best value fares including SplitSave, and a great on-the-day travel experience) and adds further features of particular interest to SMEs. This includes centralised payment, expense management, travel policies, recording of custom information as well as insightful reporting.
TLB has been recently rebuilt on Trainline’s main development platform (Platform One), with over 20 developers dedicated to improving it further, plus support from product, marketing, finance and other teams. It is available in the UK and the EU, particularly our focus markets of France, Spain and Italy and we already have 1000s of businesses using it actively. Our market leading proposition sets us up for accelerated growth in 2024 and beyond.
**This is a 12 month fixed term contract with a start date of 4th June 2024**
Purpose of the Role
As Global Head of Trainline Business, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and executing the growth plan to accelerate the adoption of Trainlines Business offering across UK and Europe. You will be accountable for exceeding TLB Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) such as net ticket sales, revenue ‘take rate’, number of active businesses and spend per account, all under our wider vision of ‘empowering greener travel choices’.
You will directly manage a Marketing Manager (focused on attracting new customers and working together with external agencies) as well as a Customer Success Manager (focused on onboarding larger new clients and ticket sales from existing clients). You will also coordinate the work of the wider Trainline Business leadership team including dedicated colleagues in the product, tech, finance, data and marketing teams.
Reporting directly to Trainline’s VP Commercial, you will have significant experience in defining and executing B2B strategies, drawing on your analytical strengths to make both long-term and short-term decisions and driving outcomes with the help of a wide range of stakeholders.
This role is based in Trainline’s London office with occasional travel to our other locations (Paris, Barcelona and Milan), with minimum 40% on site on average.
