You will be working with the Accounting Team (Currently composed of 2 people) - within the HR & Finance Department - in maintaining the quality of our financials as well as supporting improvements.
Our organization is fully remote and international (English is our first language).
Accounting
- Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely as per accounting processes and deadlines.
-Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
-Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements monthly.
Internal controls, communication and process improvement
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records for audit and reference purposes.
- Participate as a key team member to improve the company's accounting-related processes to increase efficiency.
Ad-hoc:
- Support in legal, administrative and tax obligations topics.
- Ad-hoc support for budget monitoring production.
You will be a great fit if you have :
- At least 2-3 years of previous working experience as an accountant (general accounting)
- Strong knowledge of European accounting and tax laws (Ideally Belgian)
- Advanced use of Excel Google Sheet and experience using an ERP (e.g: SAP, Sage, Oracle, Netsuite, Cegid etc...)
- The ability to work independently and be a good team player.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking are essential.
- You are not afraid to ask questions, provide and take feedback, and communicate openly with others.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
Bonus point if you have :
- An academic degree in accounting
- Knowledge of the US and/or UAE accounting and tax laws
- French native or professional proficiency
