Synology France is looking for a motivated candidate to join us as a Sales Specialist for Africa and videosurveillance. This position will focus on 2 key tasks:
Managing our African business
You will own and expand the chain of distribution in all of Africa, including direct partners in Morocco, Kenya, Mauritius, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Nigeria. This includes working with distributors, resellers/integrators, but also with end customers looking for recommendations on their Synology deployment.
Managing videosurveillance sales for France & Africa
Synology provides a complete surveillance ecosystem, including NVR (Network Video Recorders), storage as well as our newly released Synology Cameras. This business is rapidly expanding and we want to better support our channel partners and end customers. This includes direct contact with surveillance-focused partners and end user projects, as well as expansion of existing partner portfolio.
This position is attached to our FR subsidiary, located in Paris La Défense. The FR subsidiary manages multiple countries, including France, Africa, Iberia, Benelux, Italy and Greece. This position will report to the France & Africa team.
Duties and responsibilities:
Develop new growth drivers and distribution channels in assigned regions & markets
Manage and expand a portfolio of partners
Assist end customers with their deployment needs
Support assigned accounts in project management & pricing negotiation
Manage partners’ stock and provide advice on orders & stockkeeping
Participation in Synology’s events and activities
Manage product lifecycle, including product announcements & end-of-life notice
Analyze sales figures and create strategic plans to grow sales
Other duties as assigned
Essential skills and experience:
BAC+5 and 0-2 years of experience
Candidates with more experience will also be considered
A previous experience in sales or account management is highly appreciated
Good presentation skills
Fluency in French and English, as you will work with both French-speaking and English-speaking accounts
Strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
Creativity, organization, reliability, and punctuality
Ability to work independently, think critically, and be proactive
Ability to work in an international team
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications:
Strong knowledge of technology in general
Previous experience working with the African market in IT-related fields
Previous experience working in the videosurveillance market
Previous experience working in IT or at technical level for a system integrator/reseller
Previous experience with Synology products (as a personal user or in a company)
Knowledge of advanced analytics tools (Excel VBA, Power BI, Microsoft Access…)
