The VIE would have the following tasks:
• Firstly, the VIE will be trained on the settlement area functions to get the relevant knowledge of how the post-trading works. This means to be in charge of:

o Dealing with clients and their operations.

o Resolving incidents that arise by providing solutions.
• VIE will contribute in the different projects of TPO department with its experience and the knowledge, as it is important to have a view of where and when enhancements need to be implemented for improving the division efficiency.
• As part of the TPO, VIE will be involved in the project management, testing, project controlling and lastly training of the corresponding teams that are part of the project as a stakeholder. VIE will get a global view of the division. He/She will be in contact with many areas.
• VIE will take part of the analysis and preparation of the DDR(solution proposed to the provider) that must be sent to the IT provider. VIE will also participate in the verification of the DDS (solution proposed by the provider), and in the certification process, confirming that the solution will be suitable with SGSS needs.
• As part of his/her functions VIE will also provide support to Compliance/RM departments in the KYC process, helping to implement the right process and to communication links with KYC central dpt.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Financial Markets
  • A previous experience in Securities servicing or business analyst in a financial environment (banking industry) could be appreciated
  • Analytical skills

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Fluent in Spanish, French and English

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
