We are the FBI!

Well 😄… We are the Finance and Business Intelligence department making sure trains run on time… Well, kind of 😄… Ok, jokes aside, we take care of most of the group’s “back-end” operations, basically making sure that:

  • Accounting is on point in all our units on a consolidated basis;

  • Controlling reviews, predicts and challenges to make sure the group is on track to reach the strategic goals;

  • Reporting happens regularly in sufficient quality and the information is interpreted correctly to give our management and shareholders a good idea about where we are headed;

  • The back office keeps all the units supplied and provides various other services within the organization including procurement;

  • Legal issues are in check and all docs are updated;

  • BI works tirelessly on our data to get the most complete picture and the most precise insights into what is happening within and outside the organization.

Now, you can be part of this endeavor and help us streamline and move forward the accounting AND back office function of the department. We are problem solvers by nature, our feet always planted firmly on the ground being the company’s risk assessors and guardians of internal processes.

Each of the department members is accountable for their agenda and recognized for their achievement, however, there is always a helping hand available in time of need - we are a real team. We are learning and developing through the tasks we perform, and the department makes progress and evolves through its actions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • You will support our Brazilian office operations by managing office supplies and facilities and coordinating travel arrangements of the team on the ground.

  • You will organize legal and HR documents, and provide support with the onboarding and offboarding of employees.

  • You will assist with IT asset management.

  • With access to the external resources of our local accounting and tax support, you will be responsible for statutory accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance in our Brazilian unit;

    • monthly closing procedures including basic checks;

    • participate in the preparation of local financial statements;

    • participate in the preparation of all tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual);

    • participate in the processing of accounts receivable - booking, dunning, and collection;

    • participate in the processing of accounts payable - booking, payment processing;

    • expense claim processing;

    • keeping track of the assets - inventory and long-term assets incl. depreciation;

    • check booking of all payroll and related taxes and insurances;

    • regular communication with current local advisors and legal counsel;

    • communication with the local team in order to secure correct bookings.

  • Participation in local audit requests alongside controlling;

  • A primary point of contact for local vendors, the tax office, and our bank;

Preferované skúsenosti

You are a perfect match when…

  • you are a reliable problem-solver, thorough in your job;

  • you understand UAE GAAP;

  • you have experience with booking entries into a local (BR) accounting/payroll software;

  • you have at least 1 year of experience in a similar position;

  • you are comfortable being hands-on in your day-to-day job;

  • you are fluent in English (B2 or better);

You stand out when…

  • you worked in the SaaS industry or in a software company;

  • you are a friend with Excel and/or Google Sheets to some extent;

  • you have prior experience with the IFRS.
