Your role:

Within our global Legal team of a dozen people, you will be joining us as an apprentice/ trainee commercial law. You will assist in handling a variety of commercial Legal topics on the procurement side with our suppliers and on the sales sides with PayFit potential and existing clients. You will report directly to Quentin Monteiro, Commercial Legal Counsel. We expect you to be willing to learn alongside our team and act as a true business partner with operational teams and all the various stakeholders you will have.

Your missions:

  • Assist the commercial legal team will all kinds of legal topics
  • Help review and negotiate our supplier agreements and improve our processes to secure PayFit’s relationship with its suppliers
  • Be part of the support to our sales and customer service teams to help them solve legal issues and provide satisfactory outcomes for PayFit and its customers
  • Help us improve all processes linked to legal support to streamline our ways of working and gain efficiency
  • Create templates and guidelines
  • Research legal topics and create notes for the legal team and our business partners
  • Be a fresh eye on our organization to suggest improvements and new ideas
  • Your qualifications

  • You have at least a “Master 1” with a focus on business law, commercial law, IP, IT law, e-commerce or a similar field
  • You are looking for an apprenticeship as part of your Master 2 or want to combine your internship (stage PPI) for the bar exam with a period of apprenticeship
  • You have a first working experience as a trainee in a law form or in house legal department
  • You want to gain a practical experience of a dynamic in house legal department and are eager to learn
  • You have strong legal skills which you apply in a practical and business way
  • You work autonomously and you are a problem solver, rigorous and a doer
  • You are able to explain legal topics to non-lawyers clearly and you enjoy this pedagogic approach
  • You are dynamic and very responsive: you thrive in a fast-paced environment and you are comfortable handling multiple topics at the same time and dealing with ambiguity
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (another language is always big +)
