The Supply & Procurement team

As part of the Supply & Procurement team, you will have the opportunity to be at the heart of OVRSEA’s activity, being in contact with Sales and Ops in all our international offices, while handling partner management and negotiations on an international scale.

Our mission is to feed OVRSEA’s growth by negotiating competitive and qualitative services with our international network of partners.

The team is organized in three specialized verticals: agents and rail, air, ocean.

Each team member is in charge of building our network of partners, negotiating rates and services and answering all knowledge needs on their scope (internally and externally).

What does it mean to be an Air Procurement Manager?

The Air Procurement Manager is in charge of building and leveraging OVRSEA’s network of air & air carriage suppliers, in order to get the best service at the best possible price.

Air is currently OVRSEA’s second transportation mode, with clear objectives to grow our volumes with prospects and clients from all our international offices.

Your mission

I. Procurement (60%)

🎯 Provide competitive and relevant offers, from spot quotations managed by Ops to tenders

- Design and regularly review the procurement & pricing roadmap based on OVRSEA’s needs and strategy

- Manage procurement for bigger negotiations (e.g. >5t projects, tenders), and monitor the performance on the deals that result from these negotiations (e.g. monitor volumes, margin, open new negotiations to optimize purchases and services, etc.)

- Ensure all quote requests can be efficiently managed by Ops by increasing our rates coverage, keeping our negotiated rates updated and defining clear priorities between offers

II. Partners Management (30%)

🎯 Expand and strengthen our network of partners, on air and carriage

- Direct scope covers airlines, GSAs, airport handling suppliers, air trucking suppliers (+ involvement expected on indirect scope with agents for imports outside FR/ES/IT/US)

- Regularly review our overall network and identify improvements and the associated action plan (on coverage, competitiveness, quality of service)

- Onboard new suppliers (in France, Spain, Italy) based on identified areas of improvement

- Develop the relationship with our partners (with a clear partners management routine, from informal calls to regular business reviews and in-person visits for our most strategic partners)

- Monitor the quality of service of our partners, managing escalations on procurement issues

III. Expertise (10%)

🎯 Expand the knowledge of the air market and pricing throughout OVRSEA, and beyond

- Make sure all internal teams have easy access to key information on Air - sharing key information with Sales and Ops to feed client communications and shipment management

- Participate in external communications and events (e.g. webinars, client meetings, ad hoc external communications)

Your profile

- You have at least 2 years of professional experience with:

- a clear expertise of the air shipment industry, from truckers and handlers to airlines

- and/or strong negotiation skills & experience in procurement for B2B services

- You have a real spirit of initiative and desire to win, showing autonomy and motivation to make OVRSEA grow and to improve all things related to air shipments

- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- You have excellent communication skills, and previous experience growing a collaboration with partners, suppliers and/or clients

- You are able to question your work, to receive and share feedback in a benevolent manner

- You speak French fluently and English at a professional level (Spanish, Italian, Chinese are not required but appreciated)
