Job Brief: What we can offer you

You will join one of our teams for one of our global clients who are specialty retailers in the fields of luxury, fashion and accessories, beauty and cosmetics sectors as a versatile IT Retail/E-Commerce Technician. You will be accompanied by a team performance expert to develop your personal and relational skills.

We want to recruit a person who is open-minded, who loves to work collaboratively, who can work in a constantly changing business context, and one who can work across time zones.

The ideal candidate already has experience in the field of Retail and/or E-Commerce, including a POS application, in store processes, store hardware, and web application (ideally Shopify or equivalent). Knowledge of web service and SQL languages is a plus.
Tasks & Responsibilities

Versatile IT Retail Technical Consultant
The consultant will have to evolve on various types of issues within the field of Retail without this list being exhaustive:

  • Be flexible according to the defined scope of support, in adherence to the SLA with each client (varies across different clients).
  • Level 1 support: Track and monitor incidents as they are logged by users.
  • Level 2 support: Coordinate internally with the different support groups (mainly the application and the infrastructure teams) on issues raised until resolution.
  • Point of technical contact for the client, typically a single point of contact from Retail IT, but can sometimes include stakeholders from Retail Operations.
  • Support users in stores with the Hardware + corporate software
  • Support users in the HQ Office with the Hardware + corporate software
  • Support the customer in application version upgrades or implementation of new features.
  • Document outlier incidents’ resolutions or processes to be implemented to enrich the internal knowledge base.
  • Be proactive in raising and implementing feasible solutions, participate in improvements and evolutions of the application.
  • Participate in the development of service indicators.
  • Creating and editing web templates
  • Maintenance and support of a website

To give some field and operational context, here are some issues that our clients face which we need to respond together:

  • Monitoring of interfaces and managing interface errors related to the retail application and other applications
  • Problems with setting up modules within the retail application
  • Problems with PDA, in store printer, mobile devices, …
  • Managing user rights
  • Managing and upload of master data in an e-commerce site
  • Managing the website template to match the customer design
  • Setting up an inventory management application on the e-commerce site

Preferované skúsenosti

What we are looking for: Experience & Skills Required

Bachelor’s in Computer Science.

You have at least 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar position and in Retail and/or E-Commerce if possible.

Autonomous, rigorous, organized, and proactive, you are flexible and adaptable.
Critical, factual mind, not hesitating to question the need and the bases in place to ensure the relevance of the choices made.
Good communicator, you enjoy working in a team.
The following skills are also desired:

  • Works effectively in a very dynamic environment;
  • Communicates effectively at all hierarchical levels;
  • Able to make complex information accessible to the audience;
  • Able to learn quickly, and manage task priorities in parallel;
  • Able to work across time zones supporting clients in Asia and/or Europe.

You have knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, MS Active Directory, SQL Server.

You can communicate effectively at the professional working level in English, and additional languages such as German at the same level is a plus.

Knowledge of TP.NET POS Application is a plus.
Knowledge of Shopify E-Commerce software is a plus.

Location: Germany or Switzerland. With travel around Germany and Switzerland for onsite support
