Role Summary 

We are seeking a VP Engineering to join our leadership team and drive the Engineering roadmap of Le Chat, our fast-growing cross-platform product vertical of 30+ engineers.

You will be responsible for building a scalable, high-quality, cross-platform product that delivers exceptional experiences for both consumers and enterprise clients.

 Build a highly scalable, qualitative, reliable, and enterprise-ready AI assistant product.

Missions 

Tech vision and strategy

Collaborate with the founding team and product leaders to establish the technical vision and roadmap.

 Ensure alignment with business goals and market needs for both consumer and enterprise segments.

Stakeholder collaboration

Work closely with the product management team to define and deliver new features and enhancements.

Adjust priorities and roadmap based on feedback and data from diverse user bases.

Delivery oversight

Work closely with the product management team to define and deliver new features and enhancements.

Adjust priorities and roadmap based on feedback and data from diverse user bases.

Technical leadership

Serve as the primary technical expert within the team, providing guidance on complex technical issues.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.

Scale & structure

Build the foundations for scale while maintaining the team's ability to iterate and deliver fast.

Establish best practices and processes for efficient product development that cater to both D2C and B2B needs.

Performance Metrics

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and tech stack performance.

Continuously monitor and optimize product and tech stack performance based on data-driven insights.

About you

• +10 years of experience in engineering, including 4 years in a leadership role.

• Experience with large-scale systems.

• Proven track record of building and scaling products for both consumer and Enterprise markets.

• Ideally you have a strong background in working with LLMs, ML, and conversational Al technologies.

• You are product oriented and have solid business sense.

• Excellent organizational capabilities and experience scaling and structuring teams.

• Pragmatic approach with the ability to balance short-term goals and long-term vision.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.

• Fluency in English.

Location & Remote

The position is based in one of our Paris HQ offices and we encourage going to the office as much as we can to create bonds and smooth communication. Our remote policy aims to provide flexibility, improve work-life balance and increase productivity. Each manager can decide the amount of days worked remotely based on autonomy and a specific context (e.g. more flexibility can occur during summer). In any case, employees are expected to maintain regular communication with their teams and be available during core working hours.
