Job Description:

Inside ManoMano (MM), the data train aims at delivering the best-in-class robust, reliable and self-serve, governed data platform that enables MM to be a data driven company and to deliver new business models. 

To ensure data are actionable and managed as internal products, one key component is the implementation of an operational data governance, that:

Ensures data is used in compliance with MM internal data policy and external regulations (ex: GDPR), balancing data risk and value 

Maximizes the data quality (hence its value) by standardizing and enabling best practice to manage data as a product 

We are looking for a Data Engineer profile, positioned in the Data Governance team, to help us put our data management and governance recommendations in practice for proper data architecture and cataloging, access control, and data quality monitoring.

Main activities:

-Contribute to build an efficient and robust architecture to make data and relating metadata more discoverable, addressable, trustworthy, self-describing, inter-operable and secure

I-mplement and maintain appropriate data treatments as defined by the data governance team: access control, data masking, data deletion, data anonymization 

-Contribute designing, building, maintaining, optimising, consolidating MM data model and relating data pipelines, including quality checks.

-Contribute exposing the data model and its relating metadata through an efficient and usable data catalog experience

-Partner and coordinate with the Data Platform team to co-design and develop the data platform capabilities that will leverage our data governance recommendations

-Partner and coordinate with key team members on cross functional teams for data model optimisation and data quality improvement

Technical stack

Cloud AWS : S3, DynamoDB, RDS, MSK, ECS, ECR

Data platform : Snowflake (Datawarehouse), Airflow, MariaDB/PostgreSQL

Ops : Terraform, Ansible, Docker

Messaging / Realtime ingestion : Kafka, RabbitMQ

Development : Python, SQL

Data Observability: Datadog, Great Expectations

Expected Skills and Competencies:

-A first experience and/or significative academic projects in Python & SQL

-Not afraid to DO, participate and help others / you are not afraid to take initiatives and offer new solutions

-Innovative and creative

-Excellente digital culture and Data Driven

-Autonomous and adaptable (desire to work in a fast growing environment / Start-up)

-Humble et curious with a big appetite to learn discover and experiment new things

-Team spirit and  great communication skills

-You come to work with good intentions and good vibes

-Good level of English, French will be appreciated

What Will Set You Apart

Data lake, data warehouse and ELT process experience (Amazon S3, Snowflake, Kafka, SQL, etc.), 

Experience in implementing a data access policy

Experience in implementing a data model

Experience in implementing data quality monitoring
