MaiaSpace is a European space tech company, designing, manufacturing and operating competitive and sustainable solutions for space mobility. Internship Description
You will join the environment and costs optimization + strategy team (ECO+ team), which defines the company’s economic and ecological strategy, as Business Intelligence & Strategy Engineer Intern. As part of this team, you will be at the heart of the preparation for the first launches.
Within ECO+ and supervised by the strategy engineer, you will support on-demand strategic analyses decided at each Program Increment. Your tasks will involve:
Competition analysis on Launch Service Providers or specific area of engineering, both from a technical and economic perspective ;
Updating existing competition benchmarks depending on needs ;
Elaboration of analytical cost models for specific MaiaSpace operations ;
Analysis of MaiaSpace’s supply chain, including geographical footprint ;
Support environmental performance priority actions ;
Support cost performance priority actions and follow-up modeling updates;
Work on ad-hoc requests from ExCo and ECO+ team members.
🛸 Specific competences & abilities:
Strong analytical, modelling and synthesis skills ;
Studying engineering with inclination for aerospace and ideally, basics of economics ;
Curious, motivated and proactive ;
Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and Python ;
Comfortable exploiting LLMs and navigating high information influx.
Requirements:
🎓 Qualification:
Master’s student in aerospace engineering, or related fields, ideally complemented with an experience in economics via double degree, student club or previous internship.
