Luxurynsight data department plays a key role in feeding of our clients with data driven insights by managing the full data cycle:

• Data collection

• Data cleaning, categorization and harmonization

• Data analysis

As part of our scaling, we are looking to reinforce our data collection capabilities by recruiting a Web Data Extraction Specialist who will be in charge of:

• Maintaining, updating and improving existing web scrapping spiders (we currently have 300+ active spiders in Python) based on the continuous feedback of data analysts

• Building new web data scrappers (e-commerce websites, store locators, social media, etc…)

• Collaborating with tech team for smooth integration of data extracted by data teams in our platforms

• Working on ad-hoc data engineering projects (Metabase maintenance, API connections with third parties) based on data teams requirements

• Exploring algorithimc solutions (based on textual data and images) to enrich data and improve categorization of data (product categories, etc…)

• Implementing continuous improvement system and innovate with the mindset “let’s ensure the environment to make the next project easier”

• Setting up procedures and working standards to make sure all the projects are delivered on time

This position could be a good fit for a junior developer familiar with Python looking to move towards data science

• +2 years of experience in web data extraction in Python. Experience in other languages is a plus

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and SQL is a plus

• Excellent project, time and organizational management skills

• Experience working with product catalogue is a plus

• English, spoken and written. French is a plus
