Look Up Space (LUS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Owner to drive the development of innovative software solutions that shape the future of space safety and security. As the Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the product vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers and the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Define the Product Vision:

• Understand the strategic objectives of LUS and translate them into a clear and compelling vision for the product.

• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, needs, and requirements to inform the product vision.

 Develop the Product Roadmap:

• Define and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the company’s overarching strategy.

• Prioritize features and initiatives based on user value and business objectives to drive product development efforts effectively.

 Backlog Management:

• Develop and maintain a backlog of features, user stories, and epics, ensuring that it is continually updated based on market trends and user feedback.

• Work closely with technical teams to refine requirements and ensure a clear understanding of priorities.

 Collaboration with Technical Teams:

• Foster close collaboration with development teams, participating actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprints and retrospectives to drive efficient delivery.

• Ensure that technical teams are aligned with the product vision and equipped with the necessary resources to execute effectively.

 Collaboration with Sales Teams:

• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to inform product development and portfolio management.

• Facilitate regular coordination between sales and technical teams to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of our solutions in the market.

 Ensure Product Quality:

• Collaborate with development teams to maintain high standards of product quality, ensuring that delivered features meet defined criteria and delight our customers.

• Participate in regular demonstrations and feedback sessions with stakeholders to showcase product capabilities and gather insights for continuous improvement.

Skills and Expertise:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in leading product development efforts.

• In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices, with a track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers.

• Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to align tasks with strategic objectives and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

• Deep understanding of software technologies and the space ecosystem, with a passion for driving innovation at the intersection of technology and space exploration.

• Adaptability to change and a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities.

• Customer-centric mindset, with a relentless focus on delivering value and exceeding customer expectations.

 Education and Experience:

•  University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a solid foundation in technology and product development principles.

• Proven experience in developing a product vision and driving strategic initiatives to fruition.

• Experience in the field of satellite operations or space operations security is a plus, demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the space industry.
