Job Duties

Customs

  • Coordinate import & export initiatives (planning, automation, optimization), working cross-functionally to identify key areas of opportunity.

  • Standardize operational procedures, partnering with operations and technology teams to establish repeatable and predictable structures in ambiguous areas to enhance consistency and reliability.

  • Manage customs formalities for shipments, including invoice retrieval and verification of information.

Transportation

  • Develop and maintain a solid, sustainable transportation plan that aligns with operational goals, sales support, and customer needs, ensuring proactive communication.

  • Implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining a competitive and safe transportation network.

  • Oversee transportation performance to meet business needs.

  • Proactively educate stakeholders on issues and market conditions, identifying gaps and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and cost savings.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with 3PL partners.

  • Monitor and ensure transportation KPIs are met, driving continuous improvement in routing, scheduling, on-time metrics, freight costs, and carbon footprint management.

Experience

  • 5 years in transportation coordination or a related role.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation regulations, fleet management, and logistics software/tools.

  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to perform under pressure.

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Language: Proficiency in English.

The position will be based in Nashville, TN. The first 4 months will be spent in our offices and warehouse in Westlake Village, California.
