Itera is looking for a Senior Delphi Developer who will work on the Norwegian project. Our client is a mutual marine insurance company serving Members & Clients worldwide. Ranks among the largest pure marine insurers in the world with the mission to secure lives, health, environment and property. With offices in Bergen (main office), Oslo, Kristiansand and London.
In fact, they world’s largest pure marine underwriters and insures more than 10.000 unique vessels and units in total. Around 5300 of these are on claims lead by our client.
Technology stack of the project mostly consists of Delphi. We are looking for an open-minded person, who confess continuous self-development and able to solve challenging tasks independently. Who will be in touch with Norwegian managers and tech leads. You might have short trips (1-2 weeks) to Norway.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Direct communications with customer, gather technical requirements
• Suggest a better development solution to customer
• Make decisions related to architecture
• Implement software development solution and modules
• Deliver high-quality code

Professional requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience in software development
• Have a solid experience working with Delphi (preferably one of latest versions)
• Be experienced in working with databases
• Experience building REST servers
• English: Intermediate or higher; you must be able to talk to Norwegian managers regularly
• Good knowing design patterns design principles (SOLID, KISS, MVC)

Be a plus:

• Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD process
• Knowledge of Oracle or other DBs
• Experience of reviewing code of others team member
