We are looking for a Head of security to lead our Security team reporting to the Senior VP Engineering.

Here is the current organization:

- Security squad: This squad of 2 engineers belongs to Engineering and is responsible for AppSec, vulnerability management, Pentest, Bug Bounty program, Awareness, etc. 

- IT squad: This squad of 4 IT administrators belongs to the Office Management team and is responsible for Corporate Security such EDR, device management, internal tooling security, workspace, etc.

- 0,5 FTE associated is responsible for RFPs.

- A DPO belongs to Legal team.

At Malt, your responsibility will consist of overseeing and coordinating all aspects of security strategy from risk analysis, implementation, and risk mitigation measures.

Malt is a marketplace with many challenges in addition to the classic security concerns:

- Addressing fraudulent activities within online payments and B2B transactions,

- Combating bots and data scraping by competitors while also implementing measures to prevent money laundering.

Key responsibilities ✨

  • As Head of Security, you will be responsible for:
  • Define and implement the company's global security risk analysis and strategy to protect the enterprise and its platform
  • Lead, empower, and mentor your security team to ensure the members are valued, motivated, and engaged.
  • Ensure good collaboration with our Engineering Leaders and various stakeholders across the organization to contribute to shaping and guiding the broader product strategy, roadmaps, and designs
  • Supervise IT security solutions, including intrusion prevention, antivirus software, and endpoint security. Lead vulnerability management and ensure company integrity against internal and external threats (IT SEC).
  • Manage security audits, penetration tests, and responses to security incidents in collaboration with legal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations and lead certification to an industry standard, such as ISO-27001 or SOC 2.
  • Communicate and raise awareness of safety throughout the company.

    • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • You have significant security experience, including at least 2 years in an equivalent role. An experience in payment security is a real plus.
  • Proven experience in implementing security frameworks, policies, and procedures. Especially in compliance management and security audits (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with engineering people with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong understanding of Malt business and associated risks.

  • Final interview with Vincent and Benoit (Sr VP Engineering) to discuss Malt’s long-term vision (45minutes)
