About the role
We are growing fast in France and are looking for a dynamic and talented Head of People to build and head up our People department. Reporting directly to the France Managing Director, you will have a critical role in shaping our organisation, our recruitment, employee experience and people ops functions. We are looking for someone that will be hands-on in tackling our current People challenges, as well as have the ability to grow with the role and shape the People team over time.
What you will be doing
Build the People function in France from the ground up
Advise on the structure of our workforce, ensuring compliance with labor legislation (laws, decrees, collective agreement), social dialogue within the company and relations with social partners
Lead Talent Acquisition: Drive recruitment and support department leads in their recruitment efforts. Use talent metrics to ensure data driven decisions in Talent Acquisition
Develop strong internal policies & HR processes, working with our global People functions in Berlin and Amsterdam
Develop and implement a local learning and development framework including Onboarding, promoting a “learning never stops” mindset
Support departments with compensation and benefits decisions, talent & performance management
Use data to help guide decision making in the People space and prepare us for scale
Assist on People Ops and Legal topics (e.g. contracts, taxes, collective agreements)
Oversee our payroll process (currently outsourced)
Promote our HelloFreshculture in line with our DNA, manage social events and ensure our offices are functional, cosy and productive

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, preferably with specialization in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or similar
Minimum 6 years of experience in a People/HR role, ideally in a scale up environment (e.g. next 40)
Solid background & experience with French labor law (social partners, collective agreements)
Experience dealing with temporary work agencies
A bubbly personality with strong people skills and strong communication skills
Ability to manage and juggle multiple projects and strong stakeholder management skills
Experience working with data in decision making
Growth mindset and with a strong “learning never stops” attitude
Autonomous, organised, proactive and adaptable
French and English required - French is the unofficial language in the Paris office, but we write most communication in english and you’ll need english to communicate with stakeholders across our different markets
