Our journey began in 2019 with Alexis, Matthieu and Arnaud as our founders. Today we are a global leader in carbon accounting , we’re B-corp certified and a recognised member of the French Tech 120.

Greenly supports over 3,000 companies across more than 20 countries to measure their carbon footprint (through carbon assessment and life cycle analyses), reduce their emissions (SBTi trajectory and action plan quantification), and comply with new regulations (CSRD, CBAM, ISSB).

We are a team of 270 people from 38 nationalities based in Paris, London, Barcelona and New York, which allows us to strengthen our international presence.

Today, our impact is measured in tons of carbon under management, with over 110 million tons of CO2 tracked through our platform. Our next milestone : serving 10,000 clients and managing one billion tons of CO2 to make carbon management as essential as financial management.

🌱About the team 

We've built a dynamic and collaborative product team of 40 members, organised into small, agile teams of five or fewer people (we call these "squads"). Each squad is a mix of four key roles: Full Stack Developers, Product Designers, Product Managers, and Methodology Experts.

These multi-talented teams work together to build the future of our ESG platform. They collaborate closely with other Greenly teams, such as Climate Experts and Sales, and stay in constant touch with our customers to ensure we're building a product that truly meets their needs.

Our teams follow agile principles, using common rituals like weekly sprints, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to stay coordinated and focused. Beyond our day-to-day work, we prioritize team cohesion. The team self-organizes and enjoys two team-building events per year, which can range from fun social activities to engaging workshops and hackathons.

🌱About the internship

Through this offer, we have 2 different internships that we will be looking to cover within different squads of the Product team. The skillset required for all two internships similar from one to another, but the tasks and responsibilities involved will differ. 

Concretely, the three internships are as follows : 

👉 A. Reporting automation engineer:

1. Automate and Enhance Reporting
   • Improve and develop new automated slide reports using Python, JavaScript, Slide APIs, empowering clients to independently generate high-quality, end-of-mission deliverables.
   • Focus on scalability, reliability, and user autonomy, ensuring reports are both informative and easy to use.
2. Develop Insightful Dashboards
   • Build useful datasets using SQL, TypeScript, React (data extraction and transformation, no ML).
   • Utilize Luzmo (low-code tool) to create user-friendly dashboards that help clients analyze their results and define effective climate strategies.
     
     

👉 B. Software engineer:

1.  Developing new functionalities for Greenly's platforms
   • Develop with Quality and Speed: You will build end-to-end functionalities using our tech stack (TypeScript, React, Express). Your work will be guided by principles like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) to ensure we can move fast without sacrificing the quality and maintainability of our codebase.
   • Embrace Full-Cycle Problem Ownership: Your role starts long before the first line of code. You will dive into user feedback, collaborate with product and design to form a hypothesis, and then build the most effective solution. You will own the problem from initial concept through multiple cycles of feedback and refinement.
2.  Work with your team lead on the strategy of the team

• Strategize for Incremental Value: You will be a key voice in identifying and championing solutions that deliver the maximum impact. This means focusing on iterative progress, shipping the smallest thing possible to validate an idea, and using data and feedback to inform the next step.
• Grow with a Mission-Driven Team: We are committed to your growth. You will learn every day, evolving into a seasoned software engineer who is a critical asset to our team, our company, and the fight against climate change.
  
  

🌱  Skills and traits necessary to succeed for either role : 

• 🔧 Engineering Diploma: You are currently pursuing your Masters defree in an Engineering School and have an outstanding track record. 
  
• 💻 Software development skills 
  • Must have :  familiarity with Python and SQL
  • Preferred : familiarity with JavaScript / TypeScript, and knowledge of the react framework. 
• 🚀 Fast-growth : You are a quick learner and love agility. You want to learn new skills and you are not afraid of going outside your comfort zone.
  
• 🧩 Problem solving Mindset: You have a strong ability to think critically and creatively, providing effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  
• 🦾 Ownership: You enjoy taking responsibility for your work and have great ambitions.
  
• 💬 Language skills - fluency in english is critical and french is highly appreciated. 
  
  Please note that the duration of this internship is of 6 months. Availability of less than 6 months will result in an impossibility for us to accept an application.
