About the Team Hiring

Joining Graitec as an M&A Director provides a rare opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s growth and strategic direction. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping Graitec’s M&A activities and driving value through strategic transactions.

Overview

Graitec is seeking an experienced M&A Director with a transaction services background to spearhead the company’s mergers and acquisitions activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing potential acquisitions, partnerships, and investments that align with Graitec’s strategic objectives. This is a unique opportunity to drive the growth strategy of a dynamic and forward-thinking organization in the AEC industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute the M&A strategy:
    • Utilize market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive analysis to identify potential targets and opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define, refine, and execute the company’s M&A strategy.
    • Identify synergies and value creation opportunities through acquisitions and partnerships to support Graitec’s long-term growth plans.
  2. Lead the end-to-end M&A process:
    • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential targets, including financial analysis, market assessment, operational capabilities, technology integration, and cultural fit.
    • Prepare financial models, business cases, and investment proposals to evaluate the viability of potential transactions.
    • Negotiate deal terms, structure agreements, and manage legal and regulatory aspects of M&A transactions.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, HR, etc.) throughout the transaction lifecycle to ensure smooth integration and realization of synergies.
  3. Build relationships and partnerships:
    • Cultivate a strong network of industry contacts, investment bankers, and business brokers to source potential M&A opportunities.
    • Engage in discussions, negotiations, and relationship-building with target companies, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with external advisors (legal, financial, tax, etc.) to obtain expert guidance and support during the M&A process.
Responsibilities
  • 8+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, preferably within the technology or software industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing M&A transactions, due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and integration.
  • Strong financial acumen, with in-depth knowledge of financial statements, valuation techniques, and financial modeling.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
