We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately and promptly recorded in our financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the implementation of crypto accounting tool from scratch
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and collecting outstanding payments

• Prepare and process journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including maintaining the general ledger, chart of accounts, and supporting schedules

• Manage the company’s banking relationships, including reconciling bank statements, processing wire transfers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial transactions are accurately and appropriately recorded in the financial systems

• Lead the future accountant team

Requirements

• English is mandatory (French is a plus)
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Crypto knowledge
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Netsuite, Xero, SAP, Quickbooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
