Our solution generates 2D/3D models of the spine powered by our machine learning models, and guide surgeons in their surgery planification. To maximize the value we deliver to our end users, EOS imaging organizes quarterly reviews with a group of physicians, focusing on design, usability and patient outcome.

Within the Engineering Department, we are looking for an internship position to investigate the load testing of our applications.

This work will identify the application bottlenecks, in particular, the highest number of multiple concurrent users, and the number of GPU required for running our machine learning models that processes X-Rays.

As part of the A.O.S system team, you will be introduced to medical devices development and automated testing framework. You will interact mainly with software development, tests, and DevOps teams.

You will explore the available solutions to load test a web-application running in Microsoft Azure, and create technical proof of concept to run the selected solutions.

You will create tests scenarios to stress the application and reach its limits in a dedicated test environment.

You will define metrics that help monitors the application and helps benchmark the new version against the previous ones, and integrate them in the continuous deployment tool.

The position is based in Paris or Besançon.

Requirements

Main missions

• Identify and benchmark solutions for application load testing; an Azure managed service, such as Azure Load testing, is preferred.
• Create a technical proof of concept with the selected tool on the ATEC/EOS applications suite
• Create a testing scenario based on users scenario, and identify relevant metrics to monitor
• Integrate the selected tool in a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) environment

Qualifications and experience

• Ongoing Bachelor’s Degree in engineering disciplines.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Affinity with software development or software testing

Additional skills

• Experience web-application in cloud environments, and cloud deployments (Microsoft Azure).
• Practical experience in medical devices development, or software development.
