Our company is under the wings of the French BNP Paribas. The star logo is familiar to most people thanks to the sponsorship of the biggest tennismtournaments. And our mission is also stellar – to protect our clients in the event of sudden life events, such as a loss of income due to loss of employment or long-term illness.

In the Czech Republic, we have two divisions – Cardif Pojišťovna and Cardif Services, which primarily focuses on the development of key software for insurance companies within continental Europe. Other services such as development and valuation of insurance products, marketing, HR, optimization and unification of processes or management accounting are an integral part.

This role covers following activities

Key intermediation role between actuarial team and back office teams (especially IT)

  • Formulation of bugs and issues related to current functionalities, treating them in the ticketing system, testing them after fixing
  • Formulation of actuarial requests on development of new system functionalities / tools into business requirements
  • Participation on User Acceptance Test Process
  • Support of local actuarial teams in migration process to new functionalities
  • Follow-up development phase (interaction with developers)
  • Actuarial tools maintenance
  • You will also participate to regional actuarial projects related to system evolution.

Your profile

  • You have minimum 1 year of experience in similar role.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills, problem solving skills
  • Creative and practical thinking, meet agreed deadlines.
  • Great communication skills (you will cooperate closely with many back office functions, especially IT community).
  • Advanced spoken and written in Czech / Slovak and English (you will cooperate daily with colleagues both Czech and non-Czech speakers, also in various countries.)
  • Degree in economics, statistics or actuarial science with strong knowledge in IT and computer science or degree in IT/Computer science with experience in insurance industry (basic actuarial knowledge would be strong advantage).
  • MS Excel advanced user; experience with development of actuarial systems and data quality projects is an advantage
