Your Mission

We are looking for an International Financial Controller to join our Finance team at BlaBlaCar. Your main role will be to analyze and ensure the quality of the book keeping, financial reporting and compliance of our Brazilian subsidiary. You will manage the relationship with our local accounting firm in Brazil (Grant Thornton), and be the finance point of contact for the local operational teams. You will support the international growth of Blablacar and be involved in different transversal projects. You will be reporting to the Finance  Manager in charge of consolidation and international expansion. 

Your responsibilities

  • Produce accurate financial information (top line, COGS…) for our local accounting firm and control their accurate bookings
  • Coordinate and manage the monthly closing process with the local accounting firm
  • Manage the P2P (procure to pay) process in our Group ERP
  • Ensure the application of Group standards and make the link with local accounts, ensure accurate recording, timely processing, and proper documentation.
  • Challenge and analyze the monthly financial statements produced by the local accountants
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve and adapt the processes
  • Support the consolidation process 

    • Your qualifications

  • You have previous successful experience (4-6 years) in finance (ideally Audit or Controlling) 
  • Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
  • Strong capacity to animate / coordinate / interact with external and internal teams
  • Analytical / challenging mindset
  • Full working proficiency in English is required
  • You master Excel/Gsheet 
  • Nice to have : Full working proficiency in  Portuguese
