Within the BoT (Bureau of Technology) department, the Platform tribe plays a central role in designing and maintaining the core technical components of our infrastructure, providing key tools, services, and solutions to support the development of our products and engineers.

Our Engineering Productivity team is on a mission to empower every engineer to deliver value faster, safer, and with more joy. We design, build, and scale the infrastructure, tools, and workflows that enable our entire platform — from a developer’s first line of code to smooth, reliable production deployments.

As a Platform Engineer within this team, you’ll join a passionate group dedicated to removing friction, automating the mundane, and accelerating innovation across all our squads.


Your Mission

Enable engineering teams to focus on what matters most: delivering impactful features and experiences, while we take care of the development, deployment, and operational excellence behind the scenes.

What You’ll Work On

  • Developer Experience: Build and improve the full toolchain (from local development to production), making it seamless for backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineers.

  • Automation & Standardization: Eliminate repetitive tasks and manual processes through automation, ensuring alignment on code, configuration, and deployment standards.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product teams, Staff Engineers, QA, and Chapters to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions (release management, testing, workflow enhancements, etc.).

  • Continuous Improvement: Propose, design, and implement enhancements to boost productivity, reliability, and scalability of our engineering platforms.

  • Community & Knowledge Sharing: Lead workshops, share learnings, and present at Platform Chapter meetings to promote best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Performance & Scalability: Optimize our tools and systems to support fast-growing teams and ambitious projects.

Our Tech Stack

  • Python, Go

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js

  • Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform, Crossplane, Helm

  • Backstage, CI/CD (CircleCI/GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc).

What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Excellence: You possess deep expertise in Python, Bash, or Go, and have a strong command of infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS). You bring proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable developer platforms, and are comfortable working across both backend and frontend frameworks.

  • DevOps Mindset: You’re passionate about automation, developer productivity, and modern release engineering.

  • Leadership & Collaboration: You inspire others, lead by example, and thrive in cross-functional teams. You help teams adopt new tools and best practices with empathy and conviction.

  • Communication: You’re able to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences, and you enjoy mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Learner: You’re always on the lookout for new technologies and better ways of working, and you love spreading that energy to those around you.
