Your work environment

The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. The headquarters gathers approximately 1000 employees and is distinguished by its strong international culture (45 nationalities), which makes it a rich and stimulating place to work.

Within the Group, you will join the Group Corporate Development & Investor Relations (IR) department. 

We are looking for a highly talented and experienced Senior Manager Strategy to join our team at the GIE. As part of the Group Strategy team, you will be responsible for spearheading strategic initiatives and driving business development efforts across our company by collaborating closely with senior leaders and worldwide entities to achieve sustainable growth, market expansion and company transformation.

Your job and daily missions

Detailed missions and responsibilities: 

  • Lead the definition and execution of the strategic plans of AXA Group, primarily by ensuring the good execution of the new Strategic Plan, “Unlock the Future”, as well as identifying new market opportunities or partnerships to support the company's long term growth objectives as well as its transformation ambition, while working in close collaboration with senior leaders across the organization;
  • Support and prepare the strategic discussions for the Board and the Management Committee of the Group;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement business strategies that are aligned with the company's long-term vision and competitive positioning, while establishing strong relationships with senior leaders of various business entities within the Group;
  • Animate the Strategy Community of the Group by fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing with the Strategy teams in various Group’s entities;
  • Foster relationships with external stakeholders, industry experts, and key partners to enhance the company's market presence and capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities;
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis, regular market research, competitive analysis, and industry assessments to give strategic recommendations to senior leaders across the Group;
  • Manage a team of 2 Project Managers.

What you’ll need to succeed in this role: 

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in managing strategic projects within large international companies or consulting firms, with a demonstrated and successful track record in senior management roles;
  • Bachelor’s degree in strategy, business, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred;
  • Proven track record of driving strategic business development initiatives within a multinational company while collaborating closely with senior leaders;
  • Strong business and financial acumen, comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry dynamics, coupled with superior leadership and communication skills;
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, market entry strategies, partnership development and company transformation, with a focus on delivering and building consensus among senior leaders.
