Overall Job description

The ESG Senior Consultant plays a critical role in supporting our customers with their diverse advisory needs while contributing to making Apiday the most advanced sustainability software in the industry.

The role is built around four key pillars:

1. Customers

The role involves responding to client inquiries, managing support requests, and ensuring timely project delivery. It also includes staying up to date with relevant regulatory changes and emerging trends, offering guidance on how to integrate these into the platform. Additionally, the position requires maintaining up-to-date documentation and providing support to the Sales team as needed.

2. Product

The ESG Senior Consultant may be called upon to provide feedback, audit features, and assess calculation methodologies used in the tool.

3. Visibility

As a Senior member of the ESG team, the ESG Senior Consultant is expected to make a significant contribution to one of Apiday’s ESG initiatives (Société à Mission, B-Corp, EcoVadis, etc.) by taking on the role of project leader.

  1. Process

As a senior member of the ESG team, the ESG Senior Consultant is expected to contribute to the process definition and improvement with the other Senior members of the team.

Tasks & Responsibilities

ESG experts are Apiday’s internal ESG consultants: their primary purpose is to deliver added-value to the users by providing tailored premium support.

In this context, the ESG Senior Consultant will collaborate closely with the Sales and CSM teams.

Customers

  • Oversee expertise requests & needs |

    • Track and address questions from clients and prospects raised by the Sales, CSM, and Product teams.

    • Answer Customer & ESG tickets.

    • Support the Sales team in delivering impactful demo calls that showcase Apiday’s ESG expertise and unique value.

    • Provide support to the Sales team in responding to RFPs

  • Lead advisory engagement

    • Gather and assess advisory support requests from the Sales and CSM teams, ensuring a clear understanding of needs.

    • Develop Apiday’s approach to address these requests, defining methodology, resource allocation, timeline, and other key elements.

    • Oversee project management and ensure successful delivery of support solutions.

  • Ensure knowledge transfer to teams and users | Design and lead workshops for user training, awareness-building, and knowledge-sharing.

  • Ensure regulatory watch | Stay informed on emerging trends related to specific regulatory topics (SFDR, EU Taxonomy, etc.) and advise on the integration of these trends into the platform.

  • ESG-related content maintenance | Ensure the continuous updating of Notion pages and any other content related to ESG topics.

Product

  • The ESG Senior Consultant may be called upon to provide feedback, audit features, and assess calculation methodologies used in Apiday’s modules.

  • Internal audit and feedback on specific modules |

    • Ensure the overall coherence and alignment of the ‘module track.’

    • Verify that the calculation methodologies are accurate and fully compliant with applicable regulations.

    • Ensure that the module outputs are thorough and formatted in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Master the tool modules in order to best support our customers |

    • Ability to support demos of Apiday’s tool.

    • Ability to connect the added value of the modules with specific areas where additional ESG support may be needed.

Visibility

  • Be involved as the project leader on one of Apiday’s top initiatives, showcasing Apiday’s leadership in ESG best practices (Société à Mission, B-Corp, ISO 26000, Ecovadis, etc.).

  • Actively participate in internal ESG strategy initiatives to position Apiday as a market leader in ESG solutions.

Process

  • Contribute to the process definition and improvement with the Senior members of the team.

  • Support Sales team in the definition of our Premium support services offer package design.

Example of projects

  • Building an ESG report from scratch

  • Completing an EU Taxonomy alignement assessment

  • Delivering a roadmap for Article 8 compliance for a fund being built from scratch

  • Facilitating a user workshop: “How to define and monitor the ESG characteristics of a fund?”

  • Conducting an SFDR training session for Apibees


Preferované skúsenosti

  • Master’s degree (business school, engineering school, or equivalent university program).

  • 2–3 years of professional experience, ideally in a consulting firm, investment fund, or similarly demanding financial environment.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a structured manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Skilled in direct client interactions, inspiring trust through active listening, transparent communication, and professional responses to questions or concerns. Strong interpersonal skills, essential for fostering constructive exchanges and maintaining high-quality relationships with all stakeholders.

Solution-oriented | Proven ability to proactively address challenges by seeking and implementing effective solutions, enhancing overall problem-solving efficiency. Skilled in designing client-focused solutions by identifying the most time- and cost-effective ways to meet their needs. Demonstrates adaptability in responding to new situations and proposes tailored solutions to overcome obstacles.

Advanced ESG knowledge | Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and market practices, with a particular focus on the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and the EU Taxonomy and their practical implications for regulated entities. Able to perform in-depth reviews of regulatory disclosures and other ESG-related documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regulatory expectations. Confident in interpreting and referencing key regulations to address technical questions from clients and internal teams. Familiar with industry best practices, sustainability reporting methodologies, and audit standards. A solid background in sustainable finance is appreciated.

Synthesis skills | Proficiency in synthesizing analyzed information and presenting it in a clear, structured manner.

Analytical skills | Capacity to analyze documents and extract relevant data and insights.

Excel | Ability to utilize basic Excel functions (calculations, pivot tables) to streamline the analysis of both internal and client documents. Ability to train junior team members on Excel.

  • Interview 1: Discussion with the ESG Senior Manager to assess your background, motivation, and technical ESG skills.

  • Interview 2: Meeting with the Head of ESG to further explore your expertise and your understanding of key ESG challenges.

  • Interview 3: Final interview with the COO focused on your ability to integrate into the team and contribute to strategic projects.

  • An ESG business case may be proposed during one of the interviews (with the ESG Senior Manager or the Head of ESG) to assess your ability to address technical ESG topics and structure your thinking.
