Our innovation addresses the time-intensive nature of traditional animation, where each second can take hours or a week to produce.

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Animaj, you’ll be instrumental in pioneering sophisticated AI solutions that will be implemented in our 3D animation production workflows.

This position requires a unique combination of skills: you will lead end-to-end research projects while also possessing the technical prowess to build scalable, efficient systems.

You will report to the VP of Engineering and will be part of an ambitious team pushing the boundaries of the Kids’ animation industry through innovation in generative AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models to automate and enhance the 3D animation production process, including tasks such as 3D motion generation, 3D pose estimation and animation style transfer

• Collaborate with Deep Learning Research Scientists to translate research prototypes into robust, scalable systems.

• Integrate AI solutions into existing production tools in collaboration with our 3D engineers and software engineers, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency improvements.

• Participate in the design and execution of rigorous testing protocols to evaluate model performance and iteratively refine these models.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of large datasets for model training

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, particularly those relevant to computer graphics, animation, and content creation, to inform and guide development efforts

• Foster a culture of innovation, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to promote continuous learning and improvement.

• MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, with a focus on applications in computer graphics, computer vision, or content generation.

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with PyTorch.

• Experience with computer vision and graphics techniques relevant to animation production, such as image generation, scene understanding, and motion capture.

• Strong understanding of the full machine learning development cycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• Creativity and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of thinking outside the box and implementing innovative solutions.

• Fluent in English, with experience working in a diverse, multinational environment.
