As we scale up, we are looking for a junior Data Engineer to help structure and secure our growing data ecosystem.
You will join a multidisciplinary and collaborative Data team. Your goal: make data accessible, usable, and trusted across the company.
In this role, you will:
Set up, maintain, and scale our internal databases
Maintain and evolve our Benchling data model with scientific teams
Manage AWS ↔ Benchling synchronization and ensure data integrity
Oversee the lifecycle of scientific data: from acquisition to archiving
Contribute to data governance best practices
Communicate clearly with researchers, biologists, and other non-tech teams
You have 1–2 years of experience (or internship) in data engineering, DevOps or software development
You’re organized, curious, and a good listener
You enjoy making things work and explaining how they work
You have working knowledge of Python, AWS (preferred, similar cloud infra are okay too), SQL, and versioning tools (Git + GitHub/GitLab)
You’re interested in biology, health, or agritech — no need to be an expert, but it helps
