Descripción del puesto

The Chief Operating Officer of Metroscope is responsible for the design
and execution of engineering services, as well as for the deployment and
adoption of the Metroscope software by operational teams. The COO oversees
Metroscope’s R&D activities and represents operational functions within the
companyʼs governance bodies.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO is accountable for project profitability,
deployment quality, value generation assessment, user satisfaction, and the
engagement of the technical community around Metroscope.
They actively contribute to Metroscopeʼs international influence and commercial
development

Key responsibilities

  • People & organisational management – Hire, onboard and develop a high-performing cross-functional operations team; set clear OKRs, run regular performance reviews and foster a culture of ownership, inclusion and continuous improvement

  • Design & execution of services – Shape service packages, methodologies and SLAs; track profit margins, delivery quality and value-generation for every project.

  • R&D & product influence – Translate field feedback into a data-driven roadmap; allocate R&D resources and nurture partnerships with leading labs (e.g. Mines Paris).

  • Technical community leadership – Lead the 30-plus-person MTS team (Project Leads, Customer Success & Modelling Engineers); scale processes, coaching and knowledge-management.

  • Customer advocacy & business support – Support sales efforts, craft value propositions and maintain trusted relations with strategic clients through frequent site visits.

  • International representation – Represent Metroscope in industry bodies such as IAEA, WANO, EPRI and CCGT user groups, reinforcing our global footprint.

Success metrics (sample KPIs) – Churn, Diagnostic Quality, Value Generation, NPS, Project Margin, Upsell Rate, Employee NPS.


Requisitos

  • Engineering / Scientific academic background

  • 10 + years in nuclear and/or CCGT operations (performance, maintenance or asset management)

  • Proven leadership of large, multidisciplinary engineering teams in high-growth settings

  • Blend of scientific curiosity and commercial acumen

  • Customer-first mindset & polished communication

  • International agility – comfortable with frequent travel and multicultural environments

  • Hands-on yet strategic – able to dive into critical projects while crafting a 3- to 5-year operating vision


Proceso de selección

Step 1: 📞 Screening Call - 30min: high level discussion to get to know you, check mandatory requirements for the role, answer your questions.

Step 2: ⚙️ Technical Deep Dive - 1h30 technical discussion to assess your Industrial know-how, analytical rigour, pragmatism of proposed solutions

Step 3: Non technical interviews

  1. Communication Interview - 1h interview to assess your ability to lead non-technical discussions and communicate effectively with varied audiences.

  2. HR & Management - 1h-1h30 to discuss your management experiences and skills as well as your leadership style.

  3. Shareholder conversation - as this position is a COMEX role, we’ll also schedule a conversation with one of Metroscope’s board member

All interviews don’t have to take place at the office (Paris Saint Lazare) but we expect you to come there at least once during the process.

To smoothen and speed up the process, we can group interviews.
