Improve fabric costs, re-engineer fabrics as per Fabric Lab, Collections, and Design to Value needs
Analyze costs, negotiate prices
Provide fiber prices market intelligence to Kiabi teams, to support their work and negotiations
Ensure a better control of our entire supply chain till Tier 4
Link with Implementation Partners, spinners, fabric mills and vendors, for supply of sustainable cotton through partnership with NGO or any other external organization Kiabi would contract with
Work with Merchandising team and Quality team to source, develop, propose new sustainable fabrics to meet CSR goals of the company
Promote Kiabi CSR and environmental goals by supporting and nurturing transparency/traceability with our Mills and assist with adherence to the Kiabi requirements / SOP
Monitor fabric stock levels, proactively secure stable supply of fabrics and work in conjunction with Capacity Planning team to co-ordinate Kiabi needs at Mills including seasonal / yearly commitments, pre-booking charts
Implementing appropriate contingency procedures in response to planned or unexpected events and respond accordingly to business needs
Work with Mills to limit volatility in procuring supply of materials
Collate and present production data suitable for critical analysis / KPI
Regular visits to Mills to ensure transparent relationship and share industrial and business information
- Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Textile/Clothing or other related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably in garment sourcing industry.
- In-depth fabric knowledge, sourcing, design/fabric compatibility, innovation technology, finishings
- Solid knowledge of fabric constructions
