About Dust

We're creating a new AI operating system that has the potential to change the way companies operate. Our mission at Dust is to transform how work gets done by letting any team and employee shape the exact agents they need to accelerate their jobs.

With 70%+ weekly active users, people stick with Dust as much as they do with Slack and Notion. We already are a core part of their jobs.

We are at an exciting stage of our journey. We‘ve raised our Series A, expanded in the US, and hit the $1m and $2m ARR milestones in 2024; we aim to x5 our growth by the end of 2025.

Dust is a Sequoia-backed company with an experienced and determined team of optimists (coming from companies like Stripe or OpenAI) that like to focus on users, getting great things done by shipping fast, and doesn’t take itself too seriously while doing so.

TL;DR

We're looking for a hands-on Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive Dust's ambitious hiring goals with a focus on operational excellence and execution. As our first dedicated recruiting hire, you'll own full-cycle recruitment, build efficient processes, and help us scale from 50 to 100+ people while maintaining our high talent bar.

What you’ll do

Talent Acquisition (60-70%)

  • Execute end-to-end recruitment for product and engineering in the EU.

  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and creative outreach

  • Manage 5-15 open roles simultaneously with exceptional organization and prioritization

  • Design and implement recruiting automations and systems using Dust to increase efficiency while maintaining our high-quality bar

  • Deliver exceptional candidate experience with fast turnaround times from first contact to offer

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide market insights

  • Help our team maintain high hiring standards and velocity and iterate on candidate feedback. You'll smooth rough edges in the recruiting process by by creating a constant feedback loop.

  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to optimize processes and predict hiring outcomes

  • Coordinate with external agencies and RPOs when needed

  • Build employer brand presence on LinkedIn, Welcome to the Jungle, and other platforms

  • Emphasize diversity. You'll look for proven traditional and creative methods to bring new points of view to the team.

People Operations (10-20%)

  • Create scalable recruiting processes and documentation

  • Build interview scheduling automations and candidate tracking systems

  • Develop onboarding workflows for new hires

  • Support basic people operations needs as the team grows

What you won’t be doing

  • Being siloed in a recruiting-only function without the opportunity to impact broader people operations.

  • Managing administrative HR tasks exclusively (though some will be part of the role).

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on technical recruiting experience

  • Experience with high-volume, fast-paced recruitment in tech startups (30-100+ people growth)

  • Expert-level sourcing skills across multiple channels (LinkedIn, GitHub, X, meetups, etc.)

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and solve problems creatively

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfort with building processes and automations from scratch

  • Experience recruiting for technical roles

  • Understanding of global hiring practices (EU/US markets)

  • Metrics-driven approach to recruitment

  • Excitement about using AI tools to enhance recruiting efficiency

Nice to have

  • Experience with Ashby ATS

  • Previous startup experience in Series A/B companies

  • Background in technical program management or operations

  • Multilingual capabilities (French/English)

  • Experience with diversity and inclusion hiring practices
