About the Role

To support Contexte’s growth, we are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our sales team. As the first point of contact, you will represent Contexte to our prospects. Your objective? Manage and qualify inbound leads. If you’re passionate about sales and the media industry, join Contexte and play a key role in our commercial development!

Responsibilities

🔥 Managing and Qualifying Inbound Leads

  • Receive, analyze, and process leads from various channels (website, events, email, etc.).

  • Conduct constructive conversations to understand prospects’ needs and challenges.

  • Qualify leads based on specific criteria and determine their level of interest.

🚀 Creating Business Opportunities

  • Convert qualified leads into engaged prospects by scheduling meetings for our Account Executives (AEs).

  • Ensure a smooth and effective transition of qualified leads to the EU Sales team.

🤝 Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the Sales, Growth, and Marketing teams to improve lead quality.

  • Challenge and refine listings received from the Growth team to maximize prospect relevance.

  • Share insights and trends to refine our acquisition and engagement strategy.

  • Maintain rigorous and detailed tracking of your activity via our CRM.

What It’s Like to Work at Contexte

  • Apply the principle of subsidiarity, which emphasizes personal expertise and can be summarized as: the one who does, decides. This principle is at the heart of our collective culture, based on three strong values: freedom, governed by a collectively built framework; trust; and a combination of high standards and kindness.

  • Contribute to a company project marked by an ambitious societal commitment: producing and selling independent political information that empowers all actors of democracy, regardless of size, expertise, or orientation, to build common ground conducive to democratic dialogue.

  • Participate in building and developing a model of independence—capitalistic, economic, and editorial.

    • Ensure that power (i.e., the majority of the company’s capital) belongs to individuals or organizations whose primary interest lies within Contexte.

    • Aim for profitability year after year, a sine qua non condition for independence.

    • Create conditions for journalists to practice their profession, within the editorial line, independently of external (economic and political) and internal (commercial interests of the company, shareholders’ interests) powers.

  • Be an actor in the company’s destiny: employees have the opportunity to become shareholders of Contexte through the employee company.

🔹 Qualities and Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.

  • Organization, rigor, and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
