Descripción del puesto

Back Market is the world’s leading refurbished electronics marketplace with a team of 650 people, powering operations in 21 countries (and counting!).

Named one of the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company in 2019 and again in 2021, our mission is simple: empowering people to consume tech sustainably by offering folks a high quality, accessible, and more eco-friendly alternative to buying new electronics. Why? Refurbished tech helps lower our collective environmental impact. We have indeed contributed to avoid the production of more than 1,000,000 tons of CO2e worldwide since our launch in 2014.

Be part of an exciting and growing international adventure that will change the way the world consumes tech.

Back Market wouldn’t be able to do much without products to sell and a website (and app) that helps customers find exactly what they’re looking for. That’s where the Merchandising & Catalog team comes in! We are made up of 10 people based in Bordeaux, Paris, London, and New York, and together manage everything from product management and creation, navigation and search, recommendation and cross-sell, onsite animation, and still have time to have fun!

As an E-Merchandising Intern, you will assist with merchandising and catalog tasks in administering the website, ensuring the product offer is commercially strong, and developing coherent user journeys. You will also work hand-in-hand with various departments at Back Market to contribute in supporting the Global market with a direct impact on the site conversion rate. From launching promotional and brand campaigns to running ad-hoc analysis, managing exciting projects and definitely having a lot of fun.

Your mission (If You Accept It):

  • Conduct regular audits of onsite content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic, user behavior, and engagement metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Help develop coherent campaign user journeys and collaborate with other teams to provide users with the best on-site experience.
  • Assist the team’s actions to implement the Merchandising promotional plan for 2024, and run campaigns ad-hoc analysis with insights and work closely with our Brand Team.
  • Work on our Content Management System (CMS) to administer the website and create various pages.
  • You’re at the right place if:

  • Looking for a 6-month internship in Paris
  • English is a no-brainer (fully professional capability). If you’re extra cool and speak more languages, bonus points for you!
  • You ideally have previous experience in marketing; the e-commerce sector is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Content Management Systems and Google Analytics
  • Sales-driven spirit with a balance of analytical and creative skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • You are organized, structured and have a lot of drive and a can-do/will-do attitude
  • Recruitment process:

  • Video-call interview with the Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Technical test (home assignment)
  • Skills fit interview with the direct manager
  • Cultural fit interview with another person in the team
  • WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN US ? ✌🏼

    - A meaningful job: through hard work, you will help avoid thousands of tons of electronic waste and fight against planned obsolescence. It counts!

    - An attractive salary, multiple benefits (meal tickets, health insurance, etc...), internal events, etc…

    - Be in an environment where you can make a difference: you will have the freedom to innovate and adopt new ideas!

    - A booming scale-up: our environment is rapidly growing in Europe, the USA and in Asia!

We know we can’t tackle a global problem without a globally representative team so we are committed to embedding diversity, equity and inclusion principles in every aspect of our organization. But more importantly, being One Loving & Free Spirited Tribe is in our DNA as it is one of the five foundational values of our company since we got started way back in 2014. We are committed to hiring and supporting diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We know our lofty goals cannot be reached unless everyone has a seat at the table along with the resources and opportunity to grow.
