Meet Marie, the head of Applied Science at Mistral AI. In her role, she bridges the technical modeling roadmap with the product and engineering roadmaps, ensuring that Mistral's products are driven by cutting-edge model capabilities. Additionally, Marie leads the Safety AI team, where her focus is on enhancing the safety, fairness, and reliability of large language models (LLMs). She addresses critical challenges such as reducing bias, preventing misuse, and aligning AI with human values. Marie combines deep technical skills with a passion for building beneficial and impactful AI products.

Gianna Maria Lengyel was one of the very first to join Mistral, helping shape the company from the ground up. As Head of Business Development, she bridges the gap between world-class AI research and real-world applications. Gianna built Mistral’s go-to-market team from scratch - crafting strategy, building partnerships, and helping our science and engineering teams stay close to user needs. She thrives at the intersection of product, people, and purpose, making sure that what we build is both useful and impactful.
