Search for technical and innovative solutions
Mechanical design: actuators, sensors & mechanical integration
Rapid design & prototyping to evaluate ideas
Realization of mechanical drawings, calculation notes
Writing of technical specifications document, justification files as technical rational, assembly instructions and industrialization document
CAD models, drawings and bill of material management on ePDM
Establishment and implementation of test protocols on components and sub-assemblies
Participation in the mechanical and electronic integration in collaboration with external expert partners
Technical project management with external partners
Selection of suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers
Monitoring and support of subcontractors and external strategic partners on production, technical studies, and industrialization
Technical interface with users (surgeons, nurses, …)
Work in the 13485-quality environment related to medical devices and application of quality standards (ASTM F1264, IEC60601, etc.)
Education: Master’s Degree in mechatronics, mechanics, robotics, or a related field. Relevant knowledge in medical device development is a plus.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a mechatronic/mechanical engineer or a similar role, preferably within the medical device or robotics industry. Experience on design of robotic systems or medical equipment is highly desirable.
Technical skills:
CAD mechanical (Solidworks), design of dynamic mechatronic systems, integration of sensors, product lifecycle management (ePDM), general knowledge of mechatronics (actuator, reducers, coupling, materials, screwed/welded assemblies, assembly of bearings and plain bearings, etc.), industrial manufacturing and assembly processes.
Synthesis / technical project monitoring, definition of the need (specifications) supplier / partner monitoring and feedback.
Technological watch.
Risk analysis related to mechanics, FMEA
Communication and teamwork: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality assurance professionals, to ensure design change and design control. · The ability to write and communicate effectively in English and French is mandatory
