Since 2014, Wiremind has positioned itself as a technical company transforming the world of transport and events with a 360° approach combining UX, software, and AI.
Our expertise lies primarily in optimizing and marketing our clients' capacity. We work on various projects such as ticket forecasting and pricing, 3D optimization of air freight or scraping competitor prices. Our applications are the preferred tool of companies such as SNCF, United Airlines, Qatar Airways or even PSG to visualize, analyze and optimize their capacity.
Dynamic and ambitious, we strive to maintain our technical DNA which is the engine of our success. The company, profitable and self-financed since its creation 10 years ago, is mainly composed of engineers and experts and currently supports the growth of our business model based on "software-as-a-service" solutions.
At Wiremind, the Data Science team is responsible for the development, monitoring, and evolution of all ML-powered forecasting and optimization algorithms used in our Revenue Management systems. Our algorithms are divided into 2 main areas:
Modelling unconstrained demand using ML models e.g. deep learning and boosted trees trained on historical time-series data
Constrained optimization problems solved using linear programming techniques
You will be joining a team designed to bring together all the profiles needed to operate as an autonomous department: devops, software engineering, data engineering, data science, AI/ML, and operations research.
As Lead ML Engineer, you will play a role with strong ML Ops, technical leadership, and team coordination dimensions. Beyond hands-on contributions, you will help the team scale its practices, improve reliability in production, and structure delivery across topics. You will:
Own and improve the ML Ops roadmap for our training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining workflows
Lead, mentor, and raise the bar for more junior team members by reviewing designs and code, sharing best practices, and helping the team grow in autonomy
Structure execution and delivery by helping define priorities, turning roadmap objectives into actionable plans, and ensuring work is delivered with a high level of quality
Oversee new client implementations from data analysis to modeling, deployment, and hyper-supervision of the first optimization runs in production
Improve our internal platform and tooling so that pipeline components are reusable, robust, and usable across the entire team
Collaborate closely with Product, R&D, Data Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable ML systems and features
Act as a technical lead and organizational reference point within your squad and, more broadly, within Wiremind
Backend: Python 3.11+ with SQLAlchemy
Orchestration: Argo Workflows over an auto-scaled Kubernetes cluster
Datastores: Druid and PostgreSQL
Common ML libraries/tools: TensorFlow/Keras, LightGBM, XGBoost, Pandas, Dask, Dash, Jupyter notebooks
Model versioning and registry tool: MLflow
GitLab / Kubernetes for CI/CD
Prometheus/Grafana and Kibana for operations
You hold a Master’s degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science, have at least 5 years of experience in Data Science, ML Engineering, or a similar backend role applied to ML systems, and have managed a team.
You have a strong technical background and master the full lifecycle of a machine learning project, from experimentation to production operations
You have strong knowledge of ML Ops concepts, including deployment, monitoring, reproducibility, and production reliability
You have experience mentoring or leading other team members, and you are comfortable helping structure a team's work and raising its level of execution
You have a pragmatic and result-oriented approach to ML: testing and frequent deliveries of incremental gains are preferred to long tunneled research processes
You enjoy mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their professional growth
You are comfortable collaborating across technical and business stakeholders to turn priorities into concrete deliverables
Experience modeling time series and/or price elasticity is a plus
By joining us, you will integrate:
