Purpose of the Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a key player in Socomec’s expansion in the Netherlands, focusing on the commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of our industry-leading products, including UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and our new energy storage solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the rapidly growing data centre and renewable energy markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commissioning of New Products

• Apply installation and commissioning procedures on-site for UPS and energy storage solutions
• Customise system settings to align with customer requirements and specific site environments
• Conduct thorough system testing to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards
• Maintain and update technical databases (e.g., CIMSA and CIMeTECH)

2. Servicing and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve issues with installed Socomec systems, including UPS and energy storage products
• Perform preventive and curative maintenance operations in line with company specifications
• Provide feedback on recurring issues to the Technical Operational Support (TOS) team
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery

3. Customer and Distributor Training

• Deliver training sessions to customers and distributors, empowering them to maximise the efficiency and safety of Socomec systems
• Build sustainable relationships with customers through excellent communication and support
• Enhance distributor technical knowledge through targeted training programs

4. Health & Safety and Compliance

• Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with Dutch safety standards and company policies

5. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of spare parts stock, service activities, and customer interactions
• Provide timely and detailed reporting to the Aftersales admin team and Technical Operational Support (TOS)

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in Dutch safety certifications, including VCA and familiarity with NEN 1010/3140 standards
• Hands-on experience in commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UPS or similar systems
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
