Job description
This 6-month internship focuses on developing the EMG (electromyography) signal processing pipeline for our upcoming Care Pro device.
The product will initially include a stimulation feature, and we plan to integrate EMG sensing to enable real-time biofeedback and a complete pelvic floor training experience.
The intern will be responsible for setting up and testing EMG signal acquisition, designing and validating signal processing methods, and drafting the first algorithm prototypes to be integrated into the mobile app.
More specifically:
Setup and validation of EMG signal acquisition from the Care Pro probe
Noise filtering, feature extraction, and signal characterization scripts
Comparative analysis of different EMG processing methods
Draft algorithm for EMG-based feedback and stimulation synchronization
Technical report summarizing data, results, and integration recommendations
Preferred experience
💼 We are looking for a final-year student in electronics engineering and signal processing. The ideal candidate has experience with biosignal processing (EMG, ECG, or similar), Python or MATLAB, and basic hardware testing.
📚 Good communication skills both to document ongoing work, communicate with others about progress and blocking points, brainstorm, etc.
💡Curious mindset, you like investigating problems outside of your comfort zone, eager to learn new skills and you know when to ask for help and check in with your team
🤰 You are comfortable talking about women’s health issues, are not intimidated by the topics of pelvic floor health, the vagina, childbirth and female intimacy in general, and curious to learn more,
👩⚖️ You are a feminist and believe in the right of every woman to have access to fun and effective health solutions,
💬 You speak and write excellent English and French.
