Descriptif du poste

Position Overview

Orakl Oncology develops large cohorts of patient-derived organoids (PDO), from which we generate large volumes of data and train proprietary AI algorithms to help pharma teams develop new treatments for patients. In practice: we culture ~100 PDOs in parallel at any given time in the lab, screen dozens of drugs weekly and own a growing biobank with and an expanding client portfolio.

As Lab Manager, you will be responsible for the organisation, structuring and overall smooth operation of Orakl Oncology’s labs. You will ensure the consistency of infrastructures, processes and operational standards to guarantee the laboratory’s scientific, technical and regulatory performance. We expect the lab manager to improve and optimise the Orakl laboratory workflows and standards.

You will have a direct and strong impact on the scientific and operational quality of the data we produce. We expect you to work with a high level of autonomy and you will report directly to the Laboratory Director.

If you are looking for a role where building matters as much as maintaining, this is it.

Your Responsibilities

Operations and Infrastructure

  • Ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the laboratory: space organisation, workflows, operational continuity and equipment availability;

  • Responsible for the maintenance (proactive and corrective) of infrastructure and equipment, and define new operating routines as needed;

  • Oversee critical stock levels and consumables procurement, ensuring resources are aligned with project needs;

  • Actively contribute to the expansion and operation of the avatar bank;

Quality, Regulatory and Safety

  • Build and structure the laboratory’s quality system: SOPs, document management, traceability, cross-functional processes;

  • Identify and deploy applicable regulatory standards and requirements for the laboratory and biobank, and ensure ongoing compliance;

  • Ensure compliance with biosafety requirements (BSL2), biological waste management and risk prevention;

  • Drive the continuous upskilling of teams on procedures, equipment and applicable regulatory developments;

Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate operational leads and foster smooth interactions between technical teams to ensure overall laboratory consistency;

  • Identify organisational bottlenecks, propose solutions, and report regularly to the Laboratory Director;

  • Define and monitor operational performance indicators (equipment availability, non-conformances, lead times, costs);

Development and Continuous Improvement

  • Propose and lead end-to-end structuring and optimisation projects for the laboratory, in alignment with the Laboratory Director;

  • Identify strategic equipment needs and conduct active technological and methodological monitoring;
