The communication manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies to engage fans, sponsors, and media. He or she coordinates press releases, social media content, and driver/team interviews to promote the sport and enhance the championship’s brand image. He or she also handles crisis communication and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Additionally, they may liaise with stakeholders, manage media relations during events, and analyse communication metrics to define or redefine strategies.
MEDIA
Manage the accreditation process and media lists.
Update on the press area all important documents for each race and manage it on-site.
Create a media guide explaining the championships before the start of the season.
Create and distribute a media information for every race of the season.
Handle media and photographer relations during events and between races.
Manage interview requests with key people of the organisation.
Coordinate team PR relations, including media requests and press conferences.
COMMUNICATION
Update websites content in French and English.
Translate press releases written by English natives.
Write and distribute press releases on European Le Mans Series & Michelin Le Mans Cup platforms.
Collaborate with the social media team to post to coordinate announcements.
Create and send European Le Mans Series & Michelin Le Mans Cup newsletters.
Manage both championship’s’ budget.
PARTNERS
Find the good tonal voice to highlight partners through innovative content.
Upload pictures and videos with brand visibility.
Media activation.
TV MAGAZINE
Manage the 52-minute ELMS & 26-minute LMC TV magazine broadcasted worldwide.
Identify topics for magazine highlights across both championships.
Coordinate with the TV magazine team.
Schedule interviews with drivers of the championships.
Create and adjust the cue sheet of every magazine at every round.
PROMOTION
Collaborate with circuits to develop comprehensive promotion plans tailored to each event.
Create all the event packages and pricing in collaboration with the circuits.
Liaise with circuits to deliver promotional materials such as posters, banners, and digital assets.
Ensure consistent messaging to attract people to the event.
Find the good platform for the ticketing.
MANAGEMENT
Regular communication with the social media team through daily updates and meetings.
Manage photographers by handling contracts, invoices, providing briefs, etc.
Coordinate with freelance communication professionals, including contract management.
Oversee logistics, including setting up offices on-site, managing flight cases, and providing media tabards for events.
SKILLS
Experience in public relations, journalism, communications, or marketing, with a focus on media.
Passion for sports and culture, with a keen creative sense and cultural awareness.
Ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills, connecting with key external stakeholders to achieve results.
Knowledge of the French/European consumer media landscape, including digital and social media.
Highly organized.
FUNDAMENTAL
Fluency in English is essential.
