Our strength? A culture of collaboration that allows us to challenge ourselves, learn together, and achieve sustainable performance.

Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Platform Engineer to join our Data & Compute team within ABC arbitrage. This role is central to building and evolving the data platform that underpins our quantitative research and trading strategies.
Your focus will be on designing and extending the platform that enables data engineers, researchers, and traders to work efficiently with data. You will collaborate with data engineers, quantitative researchers, and the DevOps team to provide new features, tools, and capabilities, ensuring the platform remains reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core components of the data platform, such as orchestration (eg. Airflow), data transformation layers, metadata systems and compute/storage architecture.
  • Build internal tools, SDKs and templates to make the platform easy and consistent to use across the company.
  • Introduce best practices in monitoring, CI/CD, cost management and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify friction points in data workflows and iteratively improve the platform to unlock new capabilities or accelerate delivery of new use cases.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to ensure security, monitoring, and scalability of the infrastructure.

Technology Stack

  • Cloud: AWS (S3, EC2, EKS, EMR, etc.)
  • Languages: C#, Python, SQL
  • Tools: Airflow

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, a platform engineering role, or a backend software role.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (eg. AWS, S3, Athena, Spark EMR, etc.)
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data-intensive systems.
  • Knowledge of C# or another object oriented programming language.
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks (eg. Pandas, PySpark) and orchestration tools (eg. Airflow)
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and big data performance tuning.

This offer describes the ideal profile. If you don't have all the skills listed but think you're up to the challenge, don't hesitate to apply!

Information

  • Permanent contract available as soon as possible or depending on constraints
  • Attractive compensation package including profit-sharing based on operating results
  • Position based in Paris, Opéra-Bourse district
  • Hybrid remote work
